Daniel Prays

Daniel stands inside his Babylonian home with his hands clasped in prayer, his face lifted in faithful worship while officials watch from outside. The open window and nearby table with bread, grapes, cup, and jug place the moment within daily life, showing Daniel’s devotion continuing even under royal pressure. The watching men represent the jealous rulers who sought to trap him after the king’s decree forbade petition to anyone except the king. Daniel’s prayer is an act of covenant faithfulness: he honors God openly, trusting the Lord above human threats.
